FEBRUARY 2012 SI SHRM Member spotlight

Grace Yates Rieger, SI-SHRM Member Grace Yates Rieger is the CEO of GZ Consulting, and has over 20 years of leadership, human development and operational experience. In addition, she holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications from Indiana University and is a Six Sigma Black Belt and Certified Trainer.

Grace’s reputation for solving complex problems, building high performance teams, and laser sharp focus on providing real value precedes her, as does her diverse background which includes leadership roles in Fortune 500 companies, Strategic Business Development responsibility for Sales and Marketing, accountability for large-scale projects, and individual asset management, as a Certified Financial Planner.

Through her in-depth knowledge and wealth of business experience, Grace has come to recognize two key fundamental driving forces operating at the core of any business: its people and processes. And when people are trained, motivated and engaged, and process driven, data collecting systems are in place, businesses thrive, as a whole, over the long term. In fact, Grace built her consulting business on this very premise.

And, as a result, offers an array of training and development services from Diversity, Change Management, Conflict Management and High Performance Leadership to Emotional Intelligence and Principles of High Performance. In addition to training and development, Grace provides consulting services around Six Sigma and Lean productivity principles.

She loves to write articles, develop quotes, and deliver motivational speeches. She currently sits on the St. Paul School Commission, is an active volunteer of Gilda’s Club, and sat on the 2011 SI-SHRM Planning Committee.

Overall, Grace is dedicated to helping people - collectively - a business, evolve, and to a simpler, more holistic way of operating.
