Human Resources Manager, Patoka Capital
$70-80K plus bonus potential

Position Description

The Human Resource Manager oversees all aspects of Human Resources including benefit administration, performance management, statutory compliance, including the affordable care act, 401K administration and payroll and salary administration for both the corporate offices and portfolio companies. The Manager is also responsible to evaluate, oversee and improve all personnel related business processes and assist in evaluating HR compliance for companies being considered for investment.

This position reports to the CFO

Duties
Coordinate the annual benefit renewal for health and other related benefits
Recruit new employees as required
Establish and maintain all HR policies and practices for all businesses
Backup to payroll process
Establish and oversee the performance management process (PMP)
Administer compensation structure
Conduct HR due diligence on companies being considered for investment or purchase
Provide due diligence support for companies being sold
Audit owned businesses for compliance to HR policies and procedures
Administer HR policies and practices for all businesses
Administer HR budget and expenses
Support business managers for HR related matters

Job Requirements

4 year degree in management, certification preferred
7-10 years of experience with a high-level of professionalism
Proficient in Microsoft Office

We employee almost 400 employees in Jeffersonville, Indiana and we are looking for a highly motivated people to join our team!  Our Human Resources Department is expanding and we are currently searching for a HR Assistant and a HR Specialist. 

HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT
The Human Resources Assistant is a non exempt position that will report directly to the HR Manager.  Their position will provide daily administrative support to the Human Resources Department and all of their functions.  

RESPONSIBILITIES/ DUTIES: Other Duties as assigned

  • Maintain HRIS by entering new employee information and process any changes.
  • Maintain department headcount report that includes metrics such as attrition and attendance
  • Maintain employee files according to state and federal guidelines
  • Maintain training plans and training records according to ISO requirements
  • Maintain employee benefit information with all databases and conduct eligible employee benefit orientations.
  • Handle all pre-employment processes (offers, paperwork, appointments, etc.)
  • Schedule appointments for Manager as needed.
  • Prepare the monthly employee newsletter
  • Work along with Production Assistant to manage attendance points and the attendance policy
  • Support the HR Department by assisting in organizing company events

 SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • 1-3 years of administrative experience in a Human Resources Department
  • Advanced MS Excel Skills with the ability to use Pivot Tables and Prepare Formulas
  • Intermediate MS Office Skills using Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization from entry level employees to top management
  • Understand the importance of confidentiality of all department information
  • Good Written and Verbal Communication Skills

HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST
The Human Resources Specialist is an Exempt position that will report directly to the General Manager.  This position will be a strategic partner who aligns business objectives with Pegatron management and acts as liaison between Pegatron and Staffing Agencies.  They will be responsible for all Company Human Resource policies, procedures and management to align procedures with Headquarters and EICC guidelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ DUTIES: Other Duties as assigned

  • Conduct weekly meetings with “Talent agencies” Program Staffing Representative
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with Supplier “Talent agencies” to develop solutions, programs and policies.
  • Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Provide day to day performance management guidance to management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Work closely with Supplier and Pegatron Management to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
  • Provides HR Policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, succession planning.
  • Identify training needs for business units and coaching needs.
  • Follow-up to ensure training objectives are met.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Excellent client management and business literacy skills.
  • Strong conflict management skills. Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results.
  • Effectively envision, develop, and implement new strategies to address competitive, complex business issues.
  • Manage multiple conflicting priorities.
  • Work in environment with international objectives.
  • Be flexible and available to interact with employees at all levels.
  • Be self directed and motivated.
  • Take initiative to identify and anticipate client needs and make recommendations for implementation.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree or higher with 3 to 4 years Indiana and Kentucky HR experience or minimum of 8 - 10 years of the resolution of complex Indiana and Kentucky employee relation issues. Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, diversity, performance management, federal and state respective employment laws. Relevant industry experience with Chinese bilingual is a plus.
